As members of the Long Island Merlot Alliance (LIMA), Borghese Vineyard is proud to announce the release of our 2007 Merliance.
It is a blend of 100% merlot from each LIMA-member winery. Each member contributes two barrels of finished merlot wine from some of its best lots of the vintage.
Gathering together, LIMA winemakers conduct a blind tasting of members’ barrel and tank samples, choosing the wines that create a merlot that best represents the East End of Long Island’s unique terroir. The final blend is barrel-aged for one year before it is bottled and released.
